Through Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub), Jakarta Provincial Government received appreciation from Jakarta residents who participated in the Free Mudik (exodus) Program for Idul Fitri 2023.
We're really happy, especially since it's free
As stated by one of the participants from Kebon Jeruk, Susi (38), who seemed enthusiastic about participating in this program with her husband and three children. She expressed her appreciation because the Free Mudik program was deemed to help people who want to go home but are financially constrained.
She deemed that the costs that should have been used for mudik trips transportation could be allocated or used for other purposes such as her household needs.
Some Tips to Keep Your Home Fire-Safe During Mudik Trips"I got information from social media and then my husband made registration with the destination to Tegal. Hopefully, this program will become an annual agenda," she expressed, when being met in Monas area before returning to her hometown, Monday (4/17).
The same statement also came out from Alan (35), a resident of Cilincing, North Jakarta who would go to Kediri together with his wife and child and expressed his happiness to take part in this program. It was because he failed to participate in the last year's mudik program
"But finally we got tickets this year. We're really happy, especially since it's free," he admitted.
He hoped that the Jakarta Government could have other programs that are pro-prosperous and that the presence of the government can be increasingly felt by its residents.
"Hopefully, the Jakarta Government could be more advanced in development, its programs can be utilized and greatly felt by Jakartans, even Indonesia," he hoped.
